Moving Calls on Leads to accounts on conversion

Hi Team,

Is there a way to move calls from the lead record to the account record when you convert a lead to an account? I have updated my leads layout module to include calls, emails and meetings. When i convert it just gives me the option to create a new record of a call, email or meeting. Hoping someone has run into this and might have a solution. Thank you!

  • Hi Zach,

In SugarCRM, there is a setting in the System settings section called "Lead Conversion" with two options: "Do Nothing" and "Move." By default, this setting is enabled as "Do Nothing." If you enable it as "Move," all activities such as Calls, Meetings, Tasks, and Emails will transfer from Lead to Contact upon Lead Conversion. However, if this setting is enabled as "Do Nothing," all activities like Calls, Meetings, and Tasks will remain under the Lead even after conversion. You can learn more about system settings here. If you are an admin user, you can login and access system settings through admin page.

But, If you're looking to move these activities to the Account, this is not a default feature and would require custom code to enable it. Hope this helps.

    Thanks and Regards,
