Just in case you are not aware, you can change how many list view items are displayed by default:

 Recommended setting is below 50 for acceptable performance levels. As additional fields are added to the listview, this number should be at the lower end of the recommended setting.   This setting is also used for the number of search results that display on the global search page.

I am going to experiment with increasing our numbers 

We only have 20 for the list view and 5 for subpanels, but our performance is already slow and I think this will impact that even more.

Just a hint: If your performance is bad for certain listviews or record views check the dashlets on the right side. Sometimes these dashlets need a lot of time to be built up. Eg. some of the history dashlets may need a long time if there are many events in the timeline. Even if the dashlets are not shown - because you selected to see the wide window - the calculation for them is made in the background.

Perhaps it helps to look to the network activities in the browser debug windows to see where the most time is needed.

The new version ist best performing with the latest recommended php version also.
